FOO FIGHTERS

When I was commissioned to create assets for the band, I was tasked with crafting a gritty, retro aesthetic. I developed social media promotional artwork and digital assets that leaned into a raw, DIY punk zine layout—heavy textures, high contrast, and alternative typography that nod to 1980s underground rock fliers. Every element was treated with a tactile, hand-made feel: torn paper edges, photocopy grain, and collage-like layering to give the pieces an immediate, lived-in energy.

For the Foo Fighters' exclusive "One Night Only" concert in Tasmania, Australia, I designed the official promotional poster with that same ethos, but dialled for a high-profile event. The poster balances urgency and polish—bold, distressed headlines and dense texture work sit alongside carefully considered hierarchy so information reads clearly at a glance. I used stark black-and-white contrasts with limited accent color to preserve the vintage vibe while ensuring legibility across both print and social feeds.

Throughout the campaign, I kept the band's voice central: energetic, irreverent, and unmistakably rock. The final assets captured a sense of occasion and underground authenticity, turning a major concert announcement into something that felt immediate, personal, and true to the music.
